One such story is of Achinta Sheuli who came to the limelight for winning gold medal at Common wealth games 2022, Birmingham. This time, he set a game record of total 313 kg in 73 kg weight class. Earlier, he won silver medal at 2021 junior world weightlifting championship and is a two-time Common Wealth Championships gold medalist. <\/p>\n
Talking of his journey, from poor background to one of those icons in weight lifting game, Achinta did not have smooth life. His determination for the game have been the sole harbour for his dreams coming true. During his childhood days his family could not even afford delicious meal. He did have to contribute to family work of embroidery and tailoring on earlier stages of life. Later on, he was fortunate and thankful enough to meet his coach Astam das who provided him training and nutritious food too. In a press meet he said about his family who had been supportive throughout the entire journey despite economy problems. <\/p>\n
Achinta Sheuli is an example to make us believe that what seems impossible for most of us can be conquered by hard work and absolute determination. What seems pulling up harder can be lifted up to turn it to gold and make nation proud.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
