Motivated by Australia\u2019s win in Eden garden she made her mind to pursue cricket as her career. What was dismal to realize for her was that her parents were unsupportive for her decision , though her grandmother supported her idea. Despite that, Jhulan travelled daily for 5 hours to Kolkata for her cricket practice.<\/p>\n
In the context of her cricket career, Jhulan made her niche in the field of bowling. She is better known for her unique style of Right handed bowling and being the fastest bowler in the world. She did bowling with speed of 120 km\/ hr. She is the first woman to have 200 ODI wickets. Under her captaincy from 2008 to 2011, India won 12 ODI matches. <\/p>\n
A Recipient of several awards and honour like Padma shri, Arjuna award and other achievements, she is definitely an eminent personality in the cricket fraternity as well as for our nation. She will remain forever as a pillar of strength for Indian women cricket team.<\/p>\n
