Meet Anoushka Jolly: 13yo ‘Shark Tank India’ star who raised Rs. 50L!

Get ready to be inspired by Anoushka Jolly, the youngest entrepreneur to land a winning deal on ‘Shark Tank India’. As a Class 8 student, Anoushka wowed the judges with her innovative anti-bullying app ‘Kavach’, securing an impressive Rs 50 lakh in funding for her idea. Don’t miss out on this incredible success story!

At the heart of Anoushka Jolly’s revolutionary app ‘Kavach’ lies a simple yet crucial goal – to educate and empower children across the nation to stand up against bullying. With plans to expand its reach to as many schools as possible, ‘Kavach’ aims to make a lasting impact through webinars and one-on-one talks that spread awareness and promote a culture of kindness and respect.

With ‘Kavach’, students and parents can anonymously report incidents of bullying, giving schools and counselors the power to intervene tactfully and take action. Anoushka Jolly, a student at Pathways School in Gurugram, envisions a powerful network of anti-bullying ambassadors who will track the progress of those impacted by bullying, both directly and indirectly.

Anoushka Jolly’s fight against bullying began long before ‘Kavach’ came to life. She personally experienced bullying at a young age when her friends mocked her while she cried – an experience she courageously shared on ‘Shark Tank India’ while pitching her idea. This was followed by another heartbreaking incident where Jolly witnessed her fellow students bullying a six-year-old girl during a school function.

These scarring experiences drove Jolly to take action, and she founded the ‘Anti Bullying Squad (ABS)’ with the support of educational institutions, social organizations, and experts. Today, ‘Kavach’ is the culmination of Jolly’s tireless efforts to create a safer and more inclusive environment for all children. Anoushka’s ABS digital platform has already made a difference to over 2,000 students across 100 schools and universities. For over three years, she has been working tirelessly to create awareness and prevent bullying through her innovative platform.

The ABS platform offers a range of resources to help people understand the impacts of bullying, and take the pledge to prevent it. Additionally, anti-bullying merchandise is also available on the platform. In an interview with PTI, Jolly emphasized the importance of spreading awareness and taking action against bullying

“However, during the process, I realised that most of these incidents do not get reported and hence, do not get resolved. So, I came up with an idea of creating a bullying reporting mobile app ‘Kavach’ to anonymously report incidents,” Jolly told PTI.

Anoushka Jolly, daughter of a chartered accountant and an entrepreneur, is just getting started on her entrepreneurial journey. Despite her young age, Jolly has already achieved incredible success with her ‘Kavach’ app and ABS platform, which have helped thousands of students across the country.

Looking forward, Jolly has big plans to continue making a positive impact and creating change in society. With her passion, determination, and entrepreneurial spirit, there’s no limit to what she can achieve.

“The idea was well received by judges of (Shark Tank), two of whom even stepped forward to invest in my app at Rs 50 lakh in valuation to help me widen its scale and reach,” she added.

Anoushka Jolly had the support of some big names on ‘Shark Tank India’ as Anupam Mittal, founder and CEO of People Group (Shaadi.com), and Aman Gupta, co-founder of boAt, stepped up to help make her dreams a reality.

Their investment in Jolly’s ‘Kavach’ app and ABS platform is not just a financial one, but a testament to their belief in her vision and ability to make a positive impact. Let their faith in this young entrepreneur inspire you to make a difference in your own way.
